Kook princes Drew Starkey and Austin North also took a tour of the Poguelandia grounds, stopping at JJ’s Sign Co. American Eagle, which sells their own collection inspired by the show. Fans also popped by a replica of John B’s Twinkie, which was plastered with every sticker you remember from the show (even JJ’s infamous phrase: “Stupid things have good outcomes all the time”), and the OBX bulletin wall that was adorned with gold nuggets like behind-the-scenes photos of the cast from Season 3, a real estate ad for Sarah’s stepmom Rose Cameron (Caroline Arapoglou), John B’s “Wanted” poster from Season 2 and a “Missing” poster for Poguelandia dwellers JJ, Kiara, Pope, Sarah and John B. There were loads of other Easter Eggs for fans to peruse, too, like digging for Royal Merchant gold coins in the sand to exchange for prizes (Pogue-approved socks, tote bags, hats and bracelets), grabbing a Pogue-friendly friendship bracelet from Kie’s Treasures hut or posing in front of the “Welcome to The Outer Banks - Paradise on Earth” sign from the show. It even had crocs that said “OBX3” on the bottom. A Giant, Inflatable Chicken Takes Center StageĪt the center of the event, fans took photos with a 33-foot-wide inflatable Poguelandia mascot - you know, the giant chicken in a coconut bra. Throughout the day tons of fans donned the signature Pogue style – there were plenty of folks in John B’s signature surf shirts and even one group of friends who met on Tumblr who tracked down Kiara’s postage stamp shirt solely based on the stills that were released of Season 3 so far. As fans screamed, “I love you, Chase!” he made sure to say, “I love you,” right back. Stokes shouted “Welcome to Poguelandia!” as Grant planted the trademark Poguelandia flag in the sand.
